Omegapoint acquires Gothenburg company Elicit

2022-04-11

Omegapoint continues to make strategic investments in cybersecurity and secure digitalization. Now Elicit is being acquired, which is well-known for its senior developer expertise and deep industry knowledge, primarily in the automotive, transport and logistics, and real estate sectors. The acquisition means that Omegapoint now further strengthens its expertise in digital transformation in western Sweden.

– I am incredibly happy to welcome Elicit to the Omegapoint family. We complement each other really well, both in terms of technology and operational expertise. With our combined knowledge in system development, architecture and cybersecurity, we can make an even bigger difference for our customers, says Anna Storm, CEO of Omegapoint in Gothenburg.

Elicit is known for its senior .NET developer expertise and deep industry knowledge, particularly in the automotive, transportation and logistics, and real estate sectors. They often deliver turnkey solutions to their clients, with responsibility for both staffing and results.

“We are good at translating our business expertise into technology that solves our customers' challenges. That's one reason why we are often trusted to deliver entire commitments,” says Pelle Andel, CEO of Elicit.

Elicit has over 60 employees and its headquarters are in the heart of central Gothenburg. Like Omegapoint, it is partly employee-owned and both companies also have similar cultures.

– I have previously worked at Elicit and know what fantastic people work there. Just like at Omegapoint, there is a driving force to constantly improve and invest time and commitment in skills development and in our culture, continues Anna Storm.

Elicit was founded in 1999 and its clients include local, national and global companies. Ever since its inception, the goal has been to create social benefit.

– We choose customers, projects and areas where our expertise can benefit a larger group. We have been strong on our own, but together with Omegapoint we can make an even bigger difference for our customers, above all we can now also offer them cutting-edge expertise in architecture and cybersecurity, continues Pelle.

The acquisition of Elicit is the second in Gothenburg in recent times. Just over two years ago, Tripoint became part of Omegapoint.

– Our goal is to become Northern Europe's leading player in cybersecurity and secure digitalization. Strategic acquisitions, with great consideration for both cultural and competence match, are part of getting there. With Elicit, we become stronger in western Sweden and also broaden our competence throughout the group. I am very much looking forward to facing the future together, says Johan Malmliden, CEO of the Omegapoint Group.
