We see the threats but not the consequences

Public and private organizations across Sweden face a security environment where threats are no longer temporary disruptions, but part of everyday reality. Cyberattacks, disinformation, and organized crime pose parallel threats that interact and reinforce one another. Decision makers view the threat landscape as very serious. The challenge is not a lack of awareness, but how security efforts are organized and implemented. We see the threats, but not always the consequences.

7 out of 10 experience a serious threat

In the seventh edition of our Swedish Security Index® survey, together with Radar, we examined how decision makers in critical operations perceive today’s threat landscape. This year’s report shows that concern remains high: 7 out of 10 decision makers (70%) feels that the threat is serious.

Information security is a top priority

A strong focus on security, driven by the evolving threat landscape, regulatory requirements, and increasing maturity, has led more organizations to establish internal policies and procedures. Information security is the area where decision makers perceive the greatest threat. It is also their highest priority and the area where budgets are most often considered insufficient.
