The perceived threat level is higher than ever

In the sixth edition of our Swedish Security Index® survey, we have worked together with Radar to find out how decision-makers in critical operations perceive the threat situation today. The results are worrying, and in this year's report we see that the figures are at an all-time high. Almost 8 out of 10 decision makers (76%) perceive the threat to be serious, which is an increase for the fourth consecutive year.

Public trust at rock bottom
Despite a growing perceived threat landscape, public confidence in decision makers’ ability to protect critical infrastructure has declined. Today, 29 percent state that they have very little or rather little trust in decision makers’ ability – a share that has steadily increased in recent years. The report also points to an interesting paradox. Although public confidence in decision makers’ ability to safeguard critical infrastructure is lower than ever, the majority of Swedes still expect to receive support from a government authority in the event of a crisis.

The Swedish Safety Index serves as a powerful decision-making tool for management and the board. Take part of the report in its entirety by filling out the survey below.
