Omegapoint events during Almedalen Week 2025

Digital security in Sweden is crucial for both the robustness of society and people's safety. But as cyber threats, digital fraud and disinformation increase, Swedes' confidence in the digital resilience of society is declining. 

It is clear that Sweden needs to take a new approach - starting with stronger digital skills among citizens and organizations, as well as clearer collaboration between business, the public sector and politics.

Therefore, Omegapoint invites you to three important panel discussions during Almedalen Week. On June 24, leading experts from the cybersecurity industry, authorities and academia will discuss how we can work together to strengthen Sweden's digital resilience for 2030.

12:30-13:30 - Cybersecure citizens - how do we strengthen the digital resilience of individuals? 
How do we build digital skills among citizens to respond to cyber threats and disinformation?
Participants: Jonas Hasselberg (Omegapoint), Jan Olsson (Swedish Cybercrime Center, Swedish Police Authority), Stefan Axelsson (Stockholm University) and Freddy Jönsson Hanberg (Totalförsvarsstiftelsen).

13:45-14:45 - Cybersecure organizations - digital leadership in an uncertain age 
How can Swedish businesses and public sector organizations create a strong cybersecurity culture?
Participants: Caroline Forssblad (Omegapoint), Dr. Gazmend Huskaj (Geneva Centre for Security Policy), Sandra Barouta Elvin (Microsoft) and Niclas Lamberg (Swedish Transport Administration).

16:00-17:00 - Cybersecure collaboration - how to strengthen digital resilience in the public and private sectors 
How can more effective collaboration between different sectors strengthen Sweden's protection against cyber threats?
Participants: Nils Ågren (Omegapoint), Johanna Parikka Altenstedt (Cybernode, RISE), Karl-Erik Svedin (Tele2) and Erik Gutwasser (Mastercard).

The panel discussions will be moderated by Elin Ahldén and will end with a mingling where you will have the opportunity to continue discussions with industry peers and cybersecurity experts.
